Lions, tortoises, and elephants, oh my! Swans, kangaroos, and pianists too! Music Saint Croix presents a family-friendly concert of feathered and furry friends from Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals.

The beloved character Babar, the Little Elephant, in his jaunty green suit, makes his concert appearance in a delightful musical setting by French composer Francis Poulenc. Gary Briggle, actor and tenor, joins MSC to bring our musical menagerie to life.

Other animal surprises in store!

All That Jazz – Swingin’ at the Courthouse

Friday, April 5th & Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 pm
Washington County Historic Courthouse

Classical music gets a colorful makeover in this program of chamber music influenced by the rhythm, pulse, and style of jazz. In Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music and Claude Bolling’s Suite for Flute & Jazz Piano Trio, classical orchestral instruments take on melodies both smooth and sultry, while composers Astor Piazolla and Paquito D’Rivera give us the spice and flare of Latin jazz. We then cut loose when MSC bassist Greg Hippen and friends take the floor for a set of straight ahead jazz favorites and musical surprises.
